Mine still stink from 2017 season. I've heard vinegar works.

Give this formula a try......

Mix all ingredients together in a plastic bucket;

1 quart hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon liquid dishsoap

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

I use this formula for washing my skunks before I skin them. Somewhere I must have read it wrong because I add water. Oops

It works guarenteed!

Yes the solution works great but if your in camp and the ingredients are not available submerge the traps in a running stream for several days.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

I make it a point to have the stuff for several batches on hand at all times.

I keep the ingredients and a suitable bucket in the truck anytime I have land traps set. Mix it, use it, dump it. It does not store well and will go flat within a few hours after mixing. And if you put it in an airtight container, it will burst the container.

I like option B. Put them in a rocky creek, stake them down. It'll wash the smell away in a week or two.
