I ground up some chicken about 24 hours ago. I wanted it to be VERY lightly tainted so I added the sodium benzoate immediately and put it in a bucket outside in the hot summer heat. I just checked it to see how rotten it was and it was all solidified. The best way to describe it is a very dense jellowy but closer to rubber substance. I had to tear at it to get it to break and tore it apart and put it back in the bucket. Anyone know what I did wrong and how I can fix it?

Trapping is easy you say? You try getting your target animal to step in a 3 inch area of its whole territory.

wait a few days. probably to much sb. you can add a little rain water if it doesn't loosen back up. 1 cup sb per gallon is a good rule of thumb. if your going to add glycerin or urine that will loosen it up also.

did you leave it uncovered in the sun? if you did you definitely should add a little rain or creek or well water.

I added the amount that was recommended online, unless I measured it wrong. I will be adding glycerin so hopefully that will work, also no the bucket had a lid on it and it was somewhat oily so I don't think it was dried out
