In reference to Genesis 3:16, I believe one of the effects of the curse was that women became controlling, which is the opposite of what God intended their nature to be. A man will willingly do what his woman wants if she asks in a loving way. But if she comes off as controlling, well that is when the fight starts.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

My plan would be go to the Hoot colony as they live well with simple things yet they embrace the modern things that make the job easier, them being passivist the non-hoots would pull security and the Colony would take care of the daily living.

I'm with Hobbie,PA skinner and loosegoose on this one. This is a reference to the New Heaven and New Earth after the former is passed away. Rev 21;1- as far as you would like to read. Catch 22. I appreciate your honesty and non - judgemental attitude toward born again believers. I look at it this way. Jesus suffered greatly on my behalf. he saved me from the pit of (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). Surely I can suffer a little in this life to show my love and praise to him. I pray that someday you see God not only as Creator but also as Loving Savior. What a great attitude and outlook, thanks Blue, your alright man.

I had a Staff Sgt in the military that said he was actually uncomfortable if he wasn't surrounded by people. Can you imagine that? I'm happiest deep in the woods... nowhere near people.

If you have found the key to true happiness apart from God Catch22, by all means let us know.
FREEDOM from the make believe is true happiness amsoker. I believe in the Creator, but riddle me this. When you go out into the woods, fields, crick banks, everything is so wonderfully connected and beautiful yes? How could you find happiness in suffering and believe that in order to have bliss after life you have to pay a price first. I will not and am not knocking you or those like you,( I was raised in that stuff) I know in my heart of hearts that a creator who made all would not let anyone suffer. My best to you. What suffering are you referring to?

Your giving the city types to much credit they have had everything dumped in their laps, they are skilled at getting what they need without working for it once that dries many are doomed. Most could not clean a fish, pigeon or squirrel on their best day. Dog eat dog would rule the day and leaving the City would be the LAST move as it would be even more foreign to them. While I don't disagree you with you, I've learned never to underestimate people. Desperation changes and drives people . "Regular" people can rise up, organize and lead. It would be easy to say they would be the first to go, but when a well organized gang army over runs your quite little homestead for it's resources the illusion of security becomes apparent. They don't need to know how to grow food or skin deer, they will just over run with numbers and take from those who can, and you can't kill them all, it's not the movies. The city of Leningrad was under seize for over 900 days of death , starvation, disease , and cannibalism ; yet they persevered. The Germans believed the Russian to be weak and inferior, they were wrong. Never underestimate anyone.

I'm not religious, pretty much not at all. I believe in three things: 1) the 10 commandments are pretty good rules to live by. 2) If the stuff hits the fan, I'm going to kill & take as much as I have to to insure my family survives 3) If this Bible stuff is true nobody but me pays for #2 but me and #4) as the old Blood Sweat & Tears songs says "Swear there ain't no heaven, pray there ain't no (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman)".
Not as bad as I could be, not as good as I should be.
