Wondering how many people still use them? Just picked up 2 dozen victor 1 1/2's with the intention to use them for muskrat. Everything I have heard has been all over the map. Seems some downright hate them.

They have their place. Compact design can come in handy for float sets.

Water trappers seem to like them, but there's no fixing one once the spring goes. Wouldn't use them for coyotes.

I have a dozen Kompakt #1’s that I’m going to use for weasels. They’re only 96 years old.

The 14 jump Is a great beaver trap. I use to have some # 21s they were great rat and mink traps. If I'm not mistaken they were Blake and Lambs.

I use alot number 1 jumps on feed beds for rats, as you get older I can carry more lighter traps than 1 1/2 coils that are pushed. Tey will always have a place on my line. Great pic of the beaver in the jump, Beaver trappers Ray Black and Fred Lawrence like them. I guess traps are like trappers we all have our place some on the line. Have some 21 BLAKES for mink also.

I've caught a ton of rats In those #2 jumps. Lots of them by the head. And the 11/2s were the go to mink traps for lots of mink trappers.

I like those old Blake and Lambs with the bigger pans. They already have holes to tie a rubber crayfish on .

I've got a hand full of #0 jumps, would those be enough for weasels in a box set? I've been using them to thin out the chipmunks.

Got some # 4 jumps coming . Randy made me a good deal on trap shed. All the old books I got all show the #4 as the go to trap. So if was good for them it should work for me.

I have to ask this. Despite coils being made. Why not continue the manufacturing of jump traps. Its a handy compact little design. I mean didthey fall out of favor that badly?

Can't replace parts easily, since the spring is the frame.
