Always like your videos Kirk. Wish you were still making cages and your trigger system is exceptional. I think there would be a market for a Dekalb trigger kit for home builders.

Thanks,

Here is one I don,t think I showed. It is 12 x12x32. Catches beaver up to 65lbs. I only made a few. It appears too short but the door forces him in and turn around to get caught. Because it is so short it reduces refusals. It surprised me. I sold one to a guy in Florida. He wanted a super duper armadillo trap. He was tickled with the trap in its ability to catch.

Good info there, Wolfie.|
Except the part that a beaver won't go in a cage trap with a closed end. Caught a good many young beaver in Kirk's larger 'coon trap with eye appeal and a good lure

ADC have you tried setting two traps back to back in shallow water with debris and grass between them. Lure on the debris. I have had much success with traps set that way. You catch one and another will investigate going in. Because of the size of your trap I would think it would be very effective.

Because I’m in a location with very little bandwidth, I wasn’t able to open ADC’s or Kirk’s videos. That being said, Ztraps makes a nice beaver live trap.

Note: We’ve found significant success putting these in an inch or so of water instead of setting on dry or wet mud/sand.
