I have the opportunity to go to dayshift. I will still be in a supervisor position, but will have to deal with every wanna be chief. As it is, I rarely see any of them unless crap hits the fan. I don't care much for dealing with admin people. I pretty much have it made on nights and are not bother by supervisors. My wife says its my choice. The long 12 hour night shifts are getting tougher on the old body, but I don't have the headache the dayshift has. Things have been good for the last 5 years. Don't want to jinx myself. What are your opinions on days vs nights? Thanks, Sarge

Not worried about my job performance. Just don't like dealing with college and wanna be chiefs. Dayshift admin tend to get butt hurt too easily if you tell them no. I have to tell folks with 8 and 12 year degrees no at times and they pout. I tend to be very straight forward with folks and they get (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). But its my job to keep folks safe and I must be doing something right. May not be well liked or in the gossip corner, but respected for doing my job. Sarge

I plan on working another 10 years.Technically I work only 14 nights per month vs 16 on days. As far as trapping, it works well with 48 hour adc beaver checks. I like hunting and trapping when other folks are at work. As far as the home front, wife is ok with it. The kids are grown and moved away. I still manage 3 weeks of vacation per year. I might be able to retire sooner if my cannabis stocks improve in the next 3-5 years. LOL . Sarge
