Any idea how much sun rendered fish oil can I expect to get off of two decent sized catfish? They’re about 24”. Is it even worth my effort for such a small amount of fish?

I’d eat the fish and get a bottle of catfish tar or spoonbill oil. I like making stuff too but you’ll really like this stuff and a little goes a long way.

Not much if any. You can always save the leftovers once you have a few gallons you can try your luck.By all means eat the fish The fatty leftovers are what you want for oil rendering.Toss the intestines. pure fat and the red meat is all I save now. Unless your wanting fish juice
