Anyone use them for snaring coyotes? I just bought some accidentally instead of 3/16" and was wondering if they will work?

I have some mixed in with my gear and they work fine. I also use large split rings and while I dont snare a ton of coyotes I haven't had an issue with them yet either. I'd be willing to bet something else in your snare set up would fail before an eighth inch quick link.

What exactly is the concern with using 1/8th vs 3/16ths? I run the 1/8th on my leg holds and have never had a problem.

It's a trappers life for me
