I was boating around the lake this last weekend and noticed areas with thousands of carp scales littering the bank. I assume from the tracks it's where otter have killed and ate carp in this same area. It got me to thinking though about eye appeal. I bow fish and always get scales that come off fish in the dead barrel. Has anyone tried using scales around a pocket set as eye appeal to passing coon otter and mink?

Just scales, or bone/skin too?

Yes...scales work well for eye appeal. They glitter some in moonlight.

There were all sorts of pieces and parts but the scales are what stood out the most from a distance.
