With regular latex cloves I was getting a lot of blood on my wrists. What really freaked me out last winter while skinning a yote was accidentally cutting one of the neck arteries and getting a mouth full of blood.Washed my mouth out with antiseptic mouthwash for a half an hour.

Quit using the knife so much. Once you make the opening cuts on a yote, It is all pulling technique to the ear lobes! Cut the ears, eyes and lips and your done! Had the same blood in mouth thing happen to me a few times over the years. Pulling too hard with the skinning machine and knicking something, and/or a clot from a bullet hole gives out and spurts all over. Maybe some day I should get a blood test. Not sure what I would tell the doc for though.
