Deerhunter51 OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Tennessee	I picked up a pile of barn fresh No 4's and one old small pan model had this interesting chain rig. The swivel is attached to the base with an old cold shut and 24 links of 4.5 chain attached to the other side with a couple more cold shuts. Surely a trapper modified rig but I haven't seen this type of swivel before. Anyone come across a swivel like this?

DiggerDale trapper Joined: Jan 2014 North Cass Co. Minnesota	Nice finds Dwight.... I have found a few trapper modified chains using that style swivel. I think that was a pretty universal swivel design for early blacksmiths. Later some may have even been factory made..
