Nothing here also. Coyotes and others are very familiar with wire, cable, and chain debris in the bush from farming, logging etc.

Don't wax, they'll turn into a mess. You can dye, if you so desire, by dumping your used dye water into a wheelbarrow or similar and cold soaking your drags. Won't last long and isn't necessary but doesn't hurt anything either.

So, I imagine you still wash the factory grease off the steel and then just leave them?

Wash and de-grease them then boil and let rust, I dye my drags with what's leftover from dying my traps although I dont believe they have to be dyed.
