Anyone use a cement mixer to get the rust off of traps? Any hints or suggestions? I a few hundred that need to be cleaned up. They are pretty rusted, not to the point of being useless, but it needs to go before I dye them. Vinegar takes too long and I would go broke buying the stuff. I really don't want to dip them in muriatic acid either as I'll need a lot of that too.

Thanks,
Anthony

I cleaned up some traps once with the mixer, i also wanted to rechain them all too so i cut off the old chains. I used 2 gallons of 1/4" gravel and water, came out good.

Regular old pebbles from the stream work good. But any amount of sand can get stuck in the tight spots.
