Obama is now weighing in as usual. Right now I'm glad Clinton is not the potus she would've executed a gun control EO already

We don't need any more gun control laws. We just need to enforce the ones we have.

Its not about proper background checks its about proper reporting of his background

Every gun free zone should be required to provide a adequate armed security force to protect that space during working hours! If they want to disarm us then provide all of what your taking away!

That is basically what Kansas law is.....armed security at all entrances along with metal detectors. Only the federal zones are exempt. Private and state buildings are required to meet that if they ban concealed carry. Some places ban overt carry without those criteria being met due to a loophole in the law as I understand it.

This is a decent logical alternative

Not to mention that any conservative is now automatically racist. The media and lefties are just flat out saying this now.

There are some good ideas here but Trump does not care about good ideas and he definitely does not care about the 2A. HE CARES ABOUT TRUMP AND WILL THROW US UNDER THE BUS FOR POLITICAL GAIN.

Yeah, Clinton would have been bad and unfortunately the spineless Republicans will not do anything about their leader.

The only thing we can do is stop relying on politicians and courts to protect our rights. Of course we should vote, support organizations that support the 2A and voice our opinions. At the same time we should also be stocking up.

Where is your middle? What do you consider the middle to be?

Compromising with people who are advocating for your extinction is nothing but self-destruction on the installment plan, whether it's our guns or our trapping. Every time our side "compromises" with the opposition they take another slice out of our freedoms and culture.

You eat an elephant one bite at a time. Every time we "compromise" to get the hyenas away from the door another bite comes out of the elephant, while we get nothing in return. If this is continued soon our elephant will be gone. I have decided that there will be no more bites from my elephant, how about you?

As Posco said earlier I too am at a loss on what to do about a society that is going insane. When young men take up arms and kill innocents for reasons that are known and justified only to them, than we are indeed heading down a road that will only lead to worse for our country and the freedoms we all hold dear.

Adequate is the key word. 1 or 2 resource officers at schools doesn't cut it especially when they chicken out. Here it's a misdemeanor to ccw on a city bus so each city bus would need to have a hired armed guard or the driver to be armed.

More laws are coming, that's been a given. It's only a matter of time and how much.

If you watch the news at all, then you've seen the pressure being applied to our elected officials and sad to say, we gun owners are only being heard by what the NRA is saying and we are in the minority by far.

8 states already ban what they are calling assault weapons which the SCOTUS won't hear a case on. Maybe when the feds outlaw them we will finally get a ruling on them. As far as background checks, that ship has sailed and i figure more stringent rules are coming.

Looks like they are here in Ohio, according to our Governor today.

Here in KS the law says you can almost carry anyplace. Hauled some rock into the nuclear plant near Burlington the other day. Several loads. Every load they used some kind of explosives sniffer, checked under the hood and under the truck chassis . Seems reasonable to me. Said I could refuse the search but I would be refused entry. Every load they asked if I had anything to declare. Every load I told them I was armed. Guard said under KS law I could be denied entry to the reactor building armed but not the fenced off outer area. Asked if I would mind leaving my firearm inside the truck. As I was not getting out of the truck anyway just to dump rock I had no problem with it. He asked me politely as well so I told him if I had to get out I would stick it in my lunchbox. He said thank you. More states need these laws. Gun free zones are just to dangerous.

BTW if I had known when I left the house I would be hauling in there I would have left my gun at home.

How is it possible to reason with and have civil discussions with people like that?
