Yep store it out of sunlight and it seems to still work well year after year if carryover.
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

What's more important than knowing if it's "bad" is knowing if it's good.

I store it in the shed or in the cellar and no problems for the years I have it. Till I use it up. I keep it out of the sun light. Like stated that if it smell like sewer then it is not good , If it is like stated of open the lid you are ok.

I will admit I only occasionally have some carryover season to season. Generally I only buy pints and it's about enough what I buy anyway. I use bobcat, fox, and mink urine on my coyote line. Not sure why but years ago I started switching away from coyote urine and seemed to do better with the other species urines at post sets for coyotes. No clue why. Now it's just habit of what I buy and use. Something different from everyone else around, I guess. I store mine in sealed .223 SAW and 30 cal. Ammo cans in summer in my garage. All my lures and baits are in those, too. Skunky lures dont stink up my garage when I store them in those sealed ammo cans, and the Mrs. Likes that. Jim

im with you jim I have better luck at scent posts using urine from other spiecies! Honestly I think a good clean domestic male dog urine would work as well as any. On my line anyplace my male dog pees a few days later it will be destroyed by kickbacks from local yotes! Not so much when my gyp pees some place. Must be a testosterone thing! I'd love to have a gallon of badger pee.
