My traps were looking a little rough so I hit them with another coat of spray paint. I use some old 4 x 4 posts and drilled 8 offset holes to put the anchor into. I hold the traps in my hand while painting and then transfer to the post. This insures good coverage of all parts of the trap. I like how this now makes the traps portable. I sprayed them over an old blue tarp to collect the overspray and then moved them to an area with more sun. Bad weather approaching? No problem move them to the garage. When the storm was over move them back outside to "gas off".

In the past I have just stuck them in the ground and painted them but this works better for me.

(Yes, there are butterflies on the end of all the traps. This insures that no matter what type of soil or what time of the day I get there the trap is secure.)

That's a great tip Green Bay!

Nice job.
Trappers have to make things easier for themselves,
I use cinder blocks for drying dyed trap stakes...

That too is a good idea Hern. I noticed that you only dip the top half.
