Look into SWFA SS scopes. They are very affordable scopes and built off a military patent. Very tough and for the money they have been great scopes for me.

Leupold VX-R 3x9x40 is a great scope. 30mm tube though. Don't know why that is an issue for you. A 1" tube is 25.4mm. The 30mm tube is only 15% larger. Vortex makes some decent scopes with 1" tubes in their Diamondback HP line, but they are not as good as the Leupold nor are they as expensive either.

On Leupold scopes; The wider that gold ring around the objective bell end, the higher the quality of the glass and coatings.

Sure you beat some poor old widow out of it! Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I have nothing clever to put here.

She was not poor since the home sold for several million dollars.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Sig Sauer Whiskey 3 or Sierra 3BDX w/ Hellfire Reticle. They make a 1" tube for you too. The included ballistic turret is awesome. You call up their service line - give the specs of your round of choice and it's laser etched onto a removable turret for you. You can also custom order multiple turrets if you change out loads throughout the year. Various promotions throughout the year and can get them at a good discount.
