I always thought that the victor/duke 220 design was pretty good

Duke is my favorite.Didn't say the strongest or the best but what I like. I wouldn't want to squeeze 100 or so belise or bridgers each day. Dead is dead is my motto. Belisles are no harder to set than a strong Duke. Plus a lot faster as you don't have to deal with the springs going around the corners, tangled traps with the dog some how through the spring eyes etc...

Love the belisle's. I think they are easier to set than the dukes I have. Plus have tail caught a few beavers with them that a duke would have missed completely.
If trapping an area with a higher possibility of theft go with Duke, less painful money wise.
Your entitled to oxygen. Everything else is earned.

Sauvageau,LDL, or belisle. Like you said, belisle jaws will bend(loss of clamping force),but belisles are the cheapest trap to buy so you get what you pay for,I guess.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
