Mr. Lucero’s “Snarelines Across The West” has not been available for well over 20 years. He recently had a very limited number of these books reprinted for trappers that are interested in a quality snare book. Many of the methods shown in "Snarlines" you won’t find anywhere else. Back cover with some of the ranches Mr. Lucero has trapped for. Here are a few snared coyotes taken by Mr. Lucero off the Tate Ranch in Kansas. JAMES LUCERO P.O. BOX 127 TULAROSA, NEW MEXICO 88352 (575) 585 - 6314 Book Cost $45.00 (Includes Shipping) Payment by check or money order only. The book is 88 pages. For Those Interested:JAMES LUCERO “MASTER WOLFER”

I have had James Lucero's Snare book for quite a few years and it is different than any snare book that I have purchased. If you have his Master Wolfer book, you know that Mr Lucero is not a follower but studies his quarry and developes sets for them that are very unique and extremely effective.
He covers snare tools, choosing the right snare for the job, cleaning, treating and adjusting snares, loading, etc.
He has a chapter on support systems, some of which are very unique.
There are chapters on reds, grays, cats, coons and coyotes as well as snaring in all types of terrain-brush,open couny,dens,trees,cubbies,fences-you name it and all with that unique,James Lucero spin on things.
Snarelines Across the West is my favorite snare book and has opened my eyes to different sets for different situations as well as different snares. This has added more fur by allowing me to think out of the box.I believe it can do the same for you.

Excellent book for both the novice and experienced snareman. I've had a copy since 1989 and used it for reference throughout my years of trapping. As "Taximan" stated it will get you thinking outside the box.
The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

That book brought me out of the dark ages of snaring. Mr. Lucero was way ahead of his time.
Common sense catches alot of fur.. Pay homage to all you harvest..
