I had an uncle in subs in WW2. He had a bunch of glossy 8x10's taken through the periscope of German ships vertical in the water and down by the stern, they had just torpedoed. Interesting. i would love to see those photos.

A close navy friend of my, was on the USS Darter and he have DBF as his term. The SS was a give away of the type of sub it was. Just like the S is.
