Here are some furs I tanned. I always tan all of my catches. Made a fur hanger to display every species. Anyone else tan fur? I use Rittel’s ez Tan 100. Hope ya enjoy!

I have tanned 1 coon and 1 badger at home. I tried the little orange bottle. It worked but really needed to work the hide to soften them up a bit. I only need a couple of critters to add to my collection. Would like to have 1 of each I have caught in MN.

Use a handful of corn starch when sanding the bloom. It will make the leather look nice and it helps the sander cut the bloom.

Looks good ! I do home tanning also, I use the orange bottle stuff and get great results, soft and supple. My daughter has one of every legal fur in our state on her wall, including a hooped 50 lbs beaver hide adorned with turkey feathers. The only one she doesn't have is a grey fox, which hasn't been seen in these parts in over 15 years.
