I am trying to make something, and can't find a glue or solvent that will hold it together. I've tried Barge Cement and Gorilla Contact Cement,l with no joy. Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon. Taximan trapper Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 5,459 Montana	It used to be called Ethafoam.Wetdog is correct,Polyethylene.Many solvents will eat it.It has been awhile,but I have used 3M77 spray glue.It wouldn't hurt sanding contact surfaces a little.I'm not sure what you are doing or how much strength you need,but I wouldn't expect to be able to chin myself on it.

BigBob OP trapper B Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 21,057 St. Louis Co, Mo	Thanks for all the tips so far. The project is no big deal, I want to take a large fish basket, and turn it into a floater. I wrapped a pool noodle around the neck of the basket and used a large wire tie, 30", thru the center hole to keep it in place, and I want to seal the ends to get the extra flotation. Have some Hurricane tape, (super Duct tape), to hold it, but don't have a lot of confidence in it. Gonna see if I can find some of the recommendations and maybe try them. Must be the off season.
