North to Cree Lake by A. L. Karras, also Traplines North by i think Steven W Meader That’s correct it was by Meader another good one by him with a trapping storyline is Buffalo and Beaver Any of the books by him are worth the read Jeff White young trapper is also a good read if you can find it, no longer in print and a collectible now with a 100 dollar plus price tag being the cheapest I have seen

The day the world , came to town. Is an account of what happened in Gander Newfoundland , Canada. On 6/11 . All US bound planes were ordered down. Something like 1100 planes and 12000 people spent quite a few days, in town. How the locals accommodated them. Newfie hospitality. Worth a read. old243 You Canadians are the most hospitable people I've had the pleaser to meet. May God bless your Queen and God Bless our President.

Worth a read. old243 Totally off topic, but I believe Gander is where an aircraft carrying nearly a battalion of the 101st crashed coming back from assignment in Sinai, Egypt. Back in the mid 80s. Killed all on board.
