What’s your “ideal” fox trap? And how would you have it setup?

Almost any 1 1/2 sized trap can catch a fox. But after trying them last season I fell instantly in love with the MB450 closed jaw. Awesome trap. Right out of box, dye and wax. Good to go.

A good #2 since In most cases your going to have to deal with more coyotes then you do fox.

MB450 offset with a JC Conner rod swivel at the D ring 3 links of chain then a crunch proof, then 7 links of chain to another crunch proof attached a chained super stake. For both Reds and Greys.

Common sense catches alot of fur..

90% fox MB 450's offset if you know coyote's are more than 10% 100% MB 550's offset both are great traps, you'll hold coyotes in the 450's your traps placement must be spot on.

If there's any chance of coyotes, being in ny there always is. A number 2 Bridger dogless offset. Swivel at trap base then 4 links of chain swivel 4 more links of chain swivel attached to chain wolf fang.

If it was just fox bridger 1 1/2 coil 4 coil. I like using northwood 1 1/2 too. But as many coyotes r around. A bridger #2 .

Mb "450 fox" reg jaw is my top choice. Also like the 1.5 bridger specials and 1.5 victors w/lam jaws. Not many coyotes here, so 1.5's are fine. Caught my share in dukes too they are just not my top choice
