A land owner that I know (I trap his property during fur season) called me today. He said his son is having problems with ground hogs and he will pay me to get rid of them. I have only trapped for fur and am clueless when it comes to ground hogs. Should I use body grips? Footholds? Cages (I only have 1)? Any type of lure or baits? All help is appreciated.

if there are no cats or dogs around 160/220 over every hole is awesome....secure it with x-sticks, like you would a 330 for beaver....out a few inches so it'll NOT push away from bank when tripping.
cover it with grass or debris so it makes a lil tunnel

in a cage, cantelopes and apples work well for me.

blind set footholds on their mounds work too

use all the tools in your shed if ya can!

Or just take your favorite rifle and go sit down on a wetter cooler evening. If I had to guess you could get good majority of them in two days doing this. They make great bait for predators too once you have gotten them

Use a cage trap with apples.
