I see a Alaskan shipper had his NAFA check bounce back from the August sale, He now has no fur money, and a $12 charge from his bank.

I just got off the phone with them. They said they will send another check in October plus any fees my bank charges me for the bad check.

I didn't really understand what she was saying. Said they were using a new bank. Somehow that means some checks bounced. Don't sound good to me.

Very, very, poor management at the best.

They may screw up, but Never on the grading.

If someone bounced a check on me I CERTAINLY wouldn't take a SECOND one but that's just me.

It cost more $12 at bank if insufficient funds, ur bank an whoever made payments with can ding u, if that happen to me, I be done with them forever, if this true, that kinda stuff should never be allow happen, u are really get some customers angry

Bounced checks, and charges vary from bank to bank, mine will charge $35.00 after the second day, the second week it doubles every week until they decide to shut the account down, which is usually 3 weeks.

$12.00 is nothing to cover, but the heart of the matter is it's happening to so many people, which show's a big problem.

I used to work for an outfit that the last 6 payroll checks bounced, finally told them I was leaving after all their promise's never panned out, now they still give payroll checks out but tell those receiving to hold them another day, can you imagine how far behind you can get with a bounced payroll check for 6 times, it's just plain ugly, these were direct deposit checks as well !

I'd never trust a small outfit ever again, however your stuck any way you look at it when your fur is taken by them, I bet there is going to be some really said sellers yet who gave out lots of fur for them to auction out !

Taser. Maybe grading is more important than good checks. lol
Seriously they now have to implement a great deal of damage control.

I know I won't be sending anything to NAFA anytime soon. It seems like a likely way to get burned, with their rumors of bankruptcy and now bad check scandal. I bet Groeny picks up a lot more business.

I changed banks some years back . I had already mailed check payments from the old account for household bills that were due. I made sure that my old account had sufficient funds to cover those checks and they cleared before officially closing it. Basic bookkeeping and I didn't have my own accountants like a corporation does.

I sure wouldnt ignore the chance of a gremlin in the works before i lynched them

Spent a couple hours sitting around camp fire with Jim Gibb at Neil Olsons .
He said the banks that funded the mink ranchers has stopped doing it. Mostly do to no return on investment. Low fur prices. NAFA was looking into other options. So changing banks might be part of that
Anytime bank change takes effect it can have a hiccup. Seems to many people jump to quick conclusions. As a business owner for 36 years thses things have happened from time to time. I suggest just let them make it right and move forward without all the drama. Lot of hot air from lot of know it alls solves nothing.
