I have traps that were boiled and waxed last year and kept in a plastic tub with a lid ever since. Is there any reason they could not be used this year if they still look good?

If your concerned , hang them out so the weather can get to them.

Or just toss a handful or two of hay or straw (dry) in with them.

I think they probably died in the storage container. Just bring them to the Bland Rhondy in a few weeks and I will take them off your hands and give them a proper burial! grin

give them a whiff and see if they have absorbed anything you can detect.

I'd toss a few pine cones or twigs or/and oak leaves in the tote, too

I got about 80 traps that should be at least rewaxxed , but with the weather we been having , i just put some sage in the totes with the traps and about 2 - 3 weeks it will be game on. (I just plan on trapping the dumb one's anyway) lol.
