I made a jar of beaver tail oil, I started late in the year so I got about 10 oz. not all of it broke down. I was going to use the left over tail pieces in dirthole sets. Would I have to preserve it or will the cooler weather stop it from breaking down and rotting. thanks Chris

With the cooler temps coming I wouldn't be concerned with much accelerated tissue breakdown. Use it as is when the time comes to trap. That type of material is full of fat and tendons that wont advance much more heading into the fall.

The solids that are left after the oil is taken makes really good add on scent to draw stations.

Common sense catches alot of fur..

BTO and leftovers need no preservatives

the old chunks are GREAT in mouse hole sets...…...just like BTO
