Any help for Newhouse traps missing their rings? I saw some repair links somewhere. I don't know if the links
are old and rare too. I don't want to do a creative wire job like so many you see. Not trying to fool anybody
either. Thanks

I think if you find one of those old newhouse repair links to attach the ring, it would increase your trap value considerably.

Easiest fix is find a complete chain with swivel and ring and replace the whole works.
I have seen some other creative ways and will get a few pictures and post them later today.....

You can open the swivel and disassemble every link.... Then add ring and assemble your way back to the swivel...
Or cut the ring and weld it back together... Welding cast can be a pain..

Can also cut a link to get a starting point and then weld back together. Some fancy file work required...

Another way to do it. Found this on a chain and I cut the weld just to see how it was done... Creative!

Best way is remove jaw post nut and add a whole chain if you got one...

Thanks digger! I have time to go through the links. That will be the
cleanest way for me.
