Crazy question I am sure. I have some pork liver soaked in garlic. I was wondering if that would work for coyotes and fox. I feel like it would for coons and definitely possums. Just wondering what ya'll thought thanks.

I have heard that pig liver is good but have no idea what garlic would do to it.Give it a try.You might be surprised.Maybe put out some mock sets to test it.I'd be interested to hear your results.

It'll probably work on Italian coyotes . . . .

Be great for catfish, but not sure about coyotes.

WHY? Plain ole liver is hard to beat ! I try to keep 4-6 pork livers on hand at all times. I find it works well in all stages. I've got a small amount left that's going on 8 years. Nothing was ever added just straight unadulterated liver. If I add any thing to my liver it will be different kinds of liver say deer or beaver. A few old government formulas call for a tiny amount of garlic in tainted meats. To each his own my liver will never see garlic

I've tried beef liver and a friend of mine that we share lure making notes with tested pork liver. It might "work" on some coyotes but is far from a great or even good base compared to other bases we've tested.
I think how hungry your coyotes are will play a role in how they respond to some bases.

I will add that I believe you can add 4 or 5 ingredients or a good commercial bait solution and make about any meat base a good bait. Good but not great.

I put the garlic in it for catfishing and had it left over. Just thought I might try it.
