An older trapper is getting out of martin trapping and has some size 0 coil spring traps. I think he said they were Victor. He ask me what he should ask for them. I had no idea so thought I would ask on here. Thanks Pete

Thank you. Nancy. I will see if I can get him to send me some other pictures of them and get close up pictures of some of just the pans. The pictures he sent me were 2 coil spring traps. What he told me he was reading the #0 off the pan. I am sure they were produced before any of the Asian traps were imported here?
When and if I get any more information I will get back with you. Thank you both so much. Pete

I sent his son in law a text and ask about the traps. He said the #0 size is only what he thought they were. Like most of us older people his memory may not be what it once was. He said when he gets some time he will go down look at them again and get back to me. I told him to take a small wire brush to get some of the rust off the trap pans and that would be where he could read the trap # size and the manufacture. I doubt that he knows how to send a picture from his phone but we will see. Thanks again Pete

Nancy, I text and checked with his son in law again this morning and he said he would go check and send the information and the pan pictures this afternoon. Late last night when I finally found the pictures he first sent I saw several of them are definitely Victors and they seem to all be about the same size. Some round jaws a few square. There are a couple dozen just in a picture of all of them sitting on the ground in rows. When I get back home this afternoon I will send you the pictures I have or follow up with what he tells or sends me. Right now I am pretty sure they are just small user 2 coil traps and he simply forgot or didn't see the size stamped on them. His son in law is the one that sent me the picture and he is not a trapper and knows less about traps than I do. which is almost impossible for me to believe that someone knows less about traps than I do. Rainy day out but I need to get back out "on the road again" and go take some insurance company pictures of a wrecked pickup. Thank you again, Pete

The son in law finally got back to me on Monday. When he checked the traps they are #1's not #0 and most of them are Victors.

Pioneer, Sleepy Creek, and Montgomery have solid pans also. The northwoods no1 coils were more 0 size then 1 sized, I have a few somewhere, got a dozen on a whim and never even used them so can’t say if they were any good or not, love the 11/2s though
