I set out traps for the first time today and boy am I excited. I am going out to check them tomorrow before work and will post the results good or bad. I haven't felt this excited about something in years. I don't even know why it has me so excited but it is a good, honest feeling.

Same here... usually around Thanksgiving.

Oh we can start legally on 1st here...but we wait until after Thanksgiving if we actually want to sell anything. Season starts way too early here for quality

I am in northern lower and I have been trapping for years and I get that way every year. I woke at 4 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep because I have locations that look better than ever. I set a few a day until line is out then rotate from beginning to end if I run out of traps. Trapping is not a hobby, it's an addiction.

good luck on your first check man it is a great feeling and this is definitely an addiction a good one unless you ask my girlfriend lol she supports my trapping but knows come nov. 15th im not really around much between work and running the line until march. heck I used to bow hunt deer religiously from oct to jan sitting in a tree at least 3 to 4 days a week until I started trapping again 3 seasons ago I think last year I bow hunted maybe 10 times the whole season. but now all I want to do is trap but still gotta try to fill the freezer. anyway good luck trapper and tight chains.

Yup I am in the Midland area.

Well no fur today but that is okay, the traps have just been out 12 hours when I checked them. I added some bait to the dp's and can't wait to check tomorrow.
