People think I have some great jobs. Some of them say things like "You must love your job? and" I wish I had your job!" Most days I dread it. Some days are fun. It is dealing with people and the weather and the uncertainty of the job that I dread.

It is dealing with people and the weather and the uncertainty of the job that I dread. Wish I had a dollar for every time someone told me "I wish I had your job" because I actually could retire. They see the hunting and fishing all over North America, the free stuff writers get, all the gravy, what they do not see is the long hours grinding out stories/content/videos at a computer and selling, constant selling, to magazines and online sources. There are no perfect jobs, but this one fits me pretty well. No chance I'm changing now.

I never had a job that I didn't truly enjoy. 24 years in the USAF as a bomb tech. Got to blow things up, learned how to disarm everything from a 22 cal round to a thermonuclear warhead, and had camaraderie with other bomb techs that was tight. After that I went straight into beaver trapping full time for 28 years. After dad passed, I got to take over Dobbins' Products, and I love it. I don't think I could work a job I didn't enjoy. Count your blessings Paul. You are a lucky man but I'm sure you know that.
I BELIEVE IN MY GOD, MY COUNTRY AND IN MYSELF.

I absolutely love my job. I started out as a temporary laborer at the hatchery. Then took a full time job as the facilities specialist. Then took a job as the Environmental Associate, and just last Friday I got the word that I got the Fisheries Culture Biologist position. I can't imagine doing anything other than fish hatchery work. If and when I get tired of it, I'll retire and just fish, trap and hunt. I'm proud of putting my GI Bill to good use.

Nope don't love mine. I love what they pay me though! Got 14 more years of it. 5 weeks vacation, 401k and full pension. I can't afford not to stay with them. I'm in the same boat, but only 6 more years to go. It is hard to leave the 5 weeks vacation and full pension with only 6 to go. However, my wife works a job that she absolutely loves and they pay her well. She keeps encouraging me to take a lesser job that I would be happy in.

I love my job. I was a commercial fisherman for 33 years then two years ago I got a call from a company asking if I would like to be a commercial boat broker. I was quite surprised but I said I will think it over. Long story short here I am and loving it. Right up my ally.
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness

My job would be about perfect if it wasn't for the darn customers. If I did't like it I would do something I did like. My theory is that one never gets really good at something if the heart is not in it.
Let's go Brandon

My theory is that one never gets really good at something if the heart is not in it. I like this, I do my best, but my heart is not in it at all. Strange part, is my employers think I'm good at it even though they know why I hate my jobs. They would be doing it to, if they didn't dread the job too.
