I got this bear trap from a guy in the Adirondacks about 18 yrs ago. He found it in the woods. It does have Newhouse on one of the springs, but what intrigued me was initials I found. I like to think it was EJ Daileys trap but no way to verify that. Dont even know if Dailey trapped bears. The "D" may also be a "G" but not certain. Makes me wonder though.

I'd be surprised if EJ Dailey didn't trap bears, chances are if it's his mark there's more marked like that and known to be his, very cool trap.
