Who makes a real good fleshing station? I've seen the ones that fold up and save space, are they any good?

No answers to your first question. Second question- I did not like the hinged beam, fold up/down leg and fold out of the way against wall. I wanted a solid beam with no shake or wobble.

Here's what I made...
I built a small table with beam mounted flat. End fits at my stomach height. Can be rigged for a work bench as well.
No bending over or reaching up to flesh downward... very solid and comfortable working this way.









I can remove beam in the off season.

I did add a two blocks to hold fur board so I have both hands free while pinning pelt.

That's very interesting I need to think more out of the box then the standard. I have limited bench space but could always use an extra table in the garage, Hum. One question on yours do you stand with your back to the table while fleshing? And if so can you stretch a coyote all the way down the beam to get it completely fleshed?

I stand facing table, point of beam in my belly. I push towards table.

Coon & Coyote, as I flesh an area, I move hide towards me so not much reaching or stretching on my back. I don't need the whole beam to flesh thisaway, since I'm only flesh'n at arms length, then move hide to do another arms length.
When I fleshed on an angle, I didn't use the whole beam either, because I moved the hide towards me as fleshed. When I used an upright beam (standing against a wall) I moved hide on beam as well.

I hope others chime in, there are alot of ways to set up a flesh'n beam.

This one works well,adjustable,portable,and rock solid.But heavy.I think the wood is oak or maple.It weighs like its made of cement.

Boco, where can a guy buy the base for that beam?

Hinge your beam to the wall then take a saw horse and place It under the beam. You can move the saw horse back and forth to get the desired angle. Once you have It set just dive a nail or 2 through the edge of the beam into the horse to keep every thing In place.
Just about everybody has a saw horse setting around.

Jasper,I got the beam complete with adjustable stand from Trans Canada Trapline(FHA trap supply store)Not sure who made them.
A welder could make that stand easy.Lag screws hold it solid to the beam.
