Any suggestions on a good heavy duty percolater. Price isn't a issue but want one that will last long and Doesn't have a flimsy stem.

I have an older one not sure I can help on what to get. I can say percolated coffee is my favorite way to make joe.

I can remember the percolator going at my grandparents when I was young. I am actually looking into a coffee press.

For stove top/wood stove summertime on stove and Winter on Woodstove. I tried coffee all ways and I prefere It perked. But I seem to only get about a year out of everyone I have had. Almost always the stem or the bottom gets warped And causes it not to perk well. Thanks for the input so far.

When i have time, i just boil the water, add coffee, turn it down so the water just rolls for about 2-3 minutes. Turn down to simmer and let it sit for a minute. Best i've had. When i get close to the dregs at the bottom of the pot(old blue camp one) i pour it in a french press. If i in a hurry i use the drip trash method.

those stems are so thing and just a flange on most of them , I wonder if you could contact the company an buy replacement parts , Greencounty that's actually the one I have now that went south on me. unfortunately they seem to have the perc glass globe replacements but not the stems they say the only replacement part they sell is the glass globe on their FAQ on their website but they say they are an American company and say to call customer service about other parts breaking . https://coletticoffee.com/contact-us/

I can't add to the best pot to buy but I would say they all work well. I will add though, that percolated coffee is one great cup of coffee.
