"I think the Constitution grants me that privilege,” Spoken by a woman that just got elected to Virginia's government. She was photographed flipping off a Trump motorcade while bicycling. I agree she was well within her RIGHTS. Free speech isn't a privilege. Somehow this woman managed to get elected. A woman who has no knowledge at all of what the bill of rights is. That bothers me. A lot. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/vi...ppears-to-have-won-race-for-local-office

And, the constitution doesn't grant any rights. Rights don't come from governments. The constitution lists a bunch of rights the government can't take away because they naturally belong to everyone.

A woman who has no knowledge at all of what the bill of rights is. What just happened in Va is a disaster for those of us who live here and believe in the Constitution. However, I don't know how you conclude this woman doesn't have any knowledge of the BoR. Her right to free speech is guaranteed by the Constitution, of which the BoR is a part. Her action was disrespectful, but she has the right to express herself in that manner.

VA conservatives didn't take the time to get out and vote so now they are a democrat controlled state. Prepare for babies that survive abortion being left to die on the table, high taxes, and extra burden placed on those who work to support those who live off of .gov. Good luck.

Problem I see with the right to free speech which I too believe we all have.. People who complain about being punished. They think there should never be repercussions for what they said..or where they say it.

I agree Mac but flipping off the president is definitely a right. No one is harmed. Pretty effective communication also. I am confident no one in that motorcade thought she was happy with Trump's policies.
I am worried about an elected state lawmaker saying what she did was a privilege. Privileges can be taken away.

Redistricting lines in Va. pretty much ensure you won't ever have another republican controlled government in that state, good luck. And that is the demon rat end game nationally. Flood the zone with immigrants in red states like TX and GA flip the electoral in just one or two of those and it's game over.

I'd like to see gerrymandering in all states. In MN, if we had it Trump would have won most of the electoral votes. It's the left- leaningTwin Cities that determine who wins the way it is now.

Interesting perspective......win elections by drawing funny-shaped district boundaries instead of winning by convincing people that you're the better candidate?

Another problem in Va. was the R's are milk toast R's at best, they get elected then run things like they're a D whizzing off their base to the point the base doesn't show up and they lose the election to a D!
Not all R's are the same, be nice if the idiot's would figure out what is going on and watch our President!
Majority is tired of being over taxed, talked down to and having their vote taken for granted!
Not my circus, not my clowns.
