Waiting to trap until the fur primes up. Season opened on the first. Got a couple sets out monitoring the critters.

Know the feeling. Good luck!

You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?

I live in Arkansas. Season opens this weekend. Do I need to wait a few weeks to make sure fur is good? I was going to hit the coins first.

Opened October 25th here. Waaaaaayyyyy too early. Hate the waiting game. Been scouting though for some good spots. At least getting outdoors.

Season opened for cats, fox, badgers, etc on Thursday. Haven't caught any of those...yet but the 2 coyotes and the raccoon I've picked up seem to be pretty prime already.

Season opens Oct 1 here and there isn't much prime then so waiting is a struggle here. I caught a very small coon around the middle of October in one set i had out to check prime and it was still fairly blue. I caught a 4x pig in a 330 set for beaver on a damage job yesterday and it was prime. So i set out a start on my line. Kept three more this mornings check and released one. They are looking good here but I am only keeping bigs and releasing the smalls. If my canine line was only producing though. Boo hoo for me,
