What chest waders do y'all recommend? This will be my first year water trapping and lookin at getting a pair. I know I want insulated ones.

I would start with 3mm thick neopreme in a low end brand. Thicker ones make me sweat too much, and I have ruined some on old barbed wire in deep grass or weeds or sharp beaver chewed stubs. If you can find a low end wader with extra thick knee pads it will help also.

Trapping is unlike any use waders were designed for. You really need something durable, warm, lightweight, flexible and an outer armour for all the hazzards in trapping condition. I have yet to find a pair that fit all these requirements.

Wish I had more time to trap....
