What is the price per pound for mice? I know a lot of bait makers love it for their canine baits.

some pay $20/gal
you must ask/email each individually and ask what they're paying...….easy peasy.

while your at it, ask what they pay for oil sacs and castors and any glands you save!

We are looking for mice most all the time. Not many trapping them in the corn belt as there use to be. If you get a bunch you would like to sell or trade contact us.

O'Gorman's was paying pretty serious money for mice last time I called them. Ask your buyer if they have preferences for how they want the mice killed. Some of them can be a little picky.

is there any reason not to use rats? I mean with the amount you can trap at a farm by the feed shed and grain bins and the size compared to mice take a lot less rats to make a gallon verse how many mice it takes. just curious is all thanks guys

I suppose they don't want poisoned mice or mice that have been stuck to a glue trap or mice that have partially rotted in hot weather.

Mice based baits must be quite popular these days.

yes sir as much testing as I know you do I am going to grind these rats up and figure out where to go from there. all these rats are caught at a dairy farm that does nothing for rodent control in the feed rooms and corn crib. can fill a 5 gallon bucket in a few days trapping them pretty hard. plus when season aint open and you have the itch its fun to target them the kids really think its cool.

Ok, so are ya'll using mice/rats as a bait or lure ingredient, or are you using them whole?

Just curious? I could probably get some mice really easy, just not sure what I would do with them.

I've used them with success fresh chopped in chunks and put in a dirt, ground and aged as a bait base (7 to 10 days in warm weather, they will taint really fast) or tainted all summer until a liquid to use to be added in a bait to turn up the volume or in a lure formulation.

From my trial runs rats put of more of a gutt smell not the musky rodent smell mice have. The end result is considerably watery too. If I was to try rats again id gutt over half of them before grinding. Although ive had decent results using whole rats pinned in a hole. Pipe dream set with whole mice in the pipe worked well too.

Okay. What about shrews? On my mice line I catch a good number of shrews as well. You can't tell me fox and yotes don't like shrews.

We grind the shrews up with field mice and meadow voles for an excellent predator bait and ingredients.

I might be interested in selling. What are you paying?
