^^^Yep^^^
Even if you wade in icy water and it goes over the top of your boots your feet will warm back up. The only drawback is they're heavy. About like having a concrete block strapped to each foot.

I swear by La za Cross Ice Kings. Buy them one Size larger than your regular shoes and only wear one good pair of Thermal Socks. This solved my cold feet problem.
If you choose you can then put an adhesive toe warmer inside. But its not really needed. X2!!

This is the first year trying a pair of Baffin boots. It's been below zero and my feet certainly stay warm. Many boots work as well with one of those hand warmer packets down in the toes.

This is a very subjective topic. Everyone has a different threshold for what they can stand. Personally, Ive found a good wool sock makes a greater difference than the boot itself. Im not saying that wool socks make the boot but its certainly a huge help. Aside from that, Ive had good luck with cabelas zones rubber boots. If it gets cold enough I need more, dad bought me a pair of Rocky boots with 2000g of thinsulate. Thats about the extent of it for me but Ive found a good sock and 600-800g of thinsulate and Im good down to about 16*F.
I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."

.. Boots! IF you can find them. Warmest boot ever made. The white boots "Bunny Boots" are rated for colder weather than the Mickey mouse boots. I wore bunny boots for years and have filled them with water, when I fell through the ice by a beaver house at -10. I spent the rest of the day setting traps and checking traps. After about eight hours I took my boots off and dumped them and wrung the water out of my socks. I am sure in any other boot my feet would have froze up. Your feet just don't get cold in them.

Out of curiosity, what makes these so good in cold weather? They keep your feet warm is the short answer. There is no insulation that your foot comes in contact with. Nothing to soak up moisture, They have an air barrier between two layers of rubber. I have wore them for 30 years, hunting, trapping and ice fishing. I have about froze my feet in other boots. They have always stayed warm in bunny boots even if they are wet.
