I missed one at 50yds yesterday. Broad side standing. With a gun that shoots less than 1 inch group at 100yds.

I shot a deer (in self defense) last night. With my .243 that hasn't missed or lost a deer in a long time. I had a ridiculous blood trail for 50 yds than pin drops, then some drips all the way down to nothing. Of course it rained last night, so that ended any chance of finding it today.

I have demoted myself to carrying grandpa's 30 30 with open sight today.

Trust me theres plenty of rifles to choose from. I think I got an unqualified promotion to distance shooter though due to poor morale.

Never deny a man an excuse to get a new rifle.

I have nothing clever to put here.

But it always helps to go buying with an old gun case in hand to put the new gun in....so when you walk in the door....problem solved...no questions are asked. New gun cases raise eyebrows something is up.

In thinking about this I have another idea to help you out old buddy. Maybe the wife can teach you how to make those hair clip things. You could stay home and make them while she goes hunting and puts the meat on the table.

I have nothing clever to put here.

If it makes you feel any better Pat my 11 year old, 1 armed kid made a clean 125 yard shot on a doe tonight. Maybe he can give you some shooting lessons.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Yes, we still have the banquet Zim. You and Patrice should make the trip again and once it's over we'll roll right on up to LOW to catch some fish.

Speaking of Grubstake, I thought maybe he'd found a woman and disappeared into the hinterlands of Ontario or sumthin but he texted me today. Still alive I guess, I suppose I should call him back lol.
