backroadsarcher OP trapper B Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 4,849 Frazee, MN	I picked up a bunch of traps tonight from a gentleman and this one caught my eye. It needs a little cleaning but I hope everything is correct on it. Please somebody chime in with your opinions.

cohunt trapper C Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,445 revillo, sd	It should have a 1967 date on the bottom of the base along with JAPAN, when and where it was manufactured. Looks like a nice trap and should clean very well. Good find!

wissmiss trapper W Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 16,699 north Idaho	Be careful with the cleaning. Collector traps are supposed to have a patina. Cleaning it to bare metal will decrease the value. Warm water and soap and an old toothbrush. That is all you need. No vinegar. No metal wheels. No muratic acid. A collector just starting will probably ignore the paint. If the collector is upgrading, paint will be a problem.
