are you putting the marshmallow UNDER the trigger as instructed?

have you put a pc of rubber surgical tubing on the trigger as instructed?

the golf ball trick can help, or some put a lil Dixie cup over it, to keep thieving mice out.

I use to have rodent thefts all the time with them. I bought those caps at a trapping outlet store. The caps emit odor and a really easy to find. Saves time and bait. Plus alot more catches. Well worth the money

I have not tried the golf ball trick. I didn't think I would have that much problem with rodents next to water. I did put the bait under the trigger.

Water means rodent highway. Heck water means highway in the animal kingdom.

You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?

If they are still fresh, I'd consider swiping them.
A raccoon, known to be greedier than a Pennsylvanian deer hunter, will rarely stop with just one marshmallow. If they decide to work the DP at all, they will usually work it like they were trying to steal something like a North Carolinian hillbilly until they go in one last time and pull the "lever of disappointment".
