Great trap for cats. Im not in Fisher country but I'd imagine a #2 Bridger would work great as a dual purpose trap. I'm more fond of the #2 for cats and yotes myself

Not sure why you need a trap that big for cat and fisher? I'm cheap, I use 1.75 Bridgers for most everything.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Well as I read the post he has #3 offset jawed traps.
I really don't think a trap can be to BIG unless your worried about domestic critters.

it was the extra chopping and stuff later in the year when i wanted a stronger trap to break up through that turned me off from the 3's.nothing to do with the trap itself.like i said i have 3 dozen closed jaw and i just hung them up awaiting an appropriate adventure.

I have caught both cats and fisher in #3 Bridger. Mine are not offset though. They are 4 coiled and outside lamination. A #3 might be a little much for fisher but these traps being laminated held him good and was able to turn the fisher loose without damage.

Those 1.75 Bridgers are not my only trap, but they are a darn good well built fair priced trap.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

I don't like the #3 Bridgers for Beaver I have had to many pullouts. So they are just hanging on a nail collecting dust. That's the reason I was curious about Fishers and Bobcats

Coon
rats
Beaver
Otters
fishers

I really like a big trap. For coyotes and cats the #3 bridger is great.

Have no experience with fisher.
