just me but i've tried both and found them to big.i use 2 coil 2's early and switch to 4 coil later.3 dozen new 3's hangin in the shop in case i ever need em somewhere else.

Not sure why you need a trap that big for cat and fisher? I'm cheap, I use 1.75 Bridgers for most everything.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

being closed jaw,they will make beaver traps if need be though.

Well as I read the post he has #3 offset jawed traps. I really don't think a trap can be to BIG unless your worried about domestic critters.

it was the extra chopping and stuff later in the year when i wanted a stronger trap to break up through that turned me off from the 3's.nothing to do with the trap itself.like i said i have 3 dozen closed jaw and i just hung them up awaiting an appropriate adventure.

I don't like the #3 Bridgers for Beaver I have had to many pullouts. So they are just hanging on a nail collecting dust. That's the reason I was curious about Fishers and Bobcats
