Over the weekend I caught my personal best beaver. She hit 80 pounds. All my other huge beavers that I have caught in the past have been in the spring when they were pregnant. I wonder how big she would have been in 5 months.

The beaver next to the sled hit the 50 pound mark. [Linked Image]

Wow! I have never seen one even close to 80 lbs. Did you catch it in an area that had not been trapped for awhile? I would consider getting it tanned.

Best part is that there were no bite marks anywhere, her pelt is perfect. Going to make a willow hoop and put it on the wall.

Dad always called larger women “Heavy Chevy’s”. I’d say she qualifies
as one. Nice

That's a dandy, looks like you got a few big hogs there.
You should get a good return on those at the FHA auction.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Thanks everyone. Still pumped. I'm trapping an area where nobody has or could trap for over a decade. I'm hoping for a few other biggins.

Wow, Giant! That will make a great wall decoration provided you have wall space enough for that huge behemoth.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

A friend showed me one he got a number of years back. 87 lbs. 45" from nose to base of tail. Has it hooped and hanging on his wall. Very impressive! One that size doesn't come around very often but I would love to catch a moose like that one day! Congrats!
