Hey guys, I just put up my first coon, however my fur shed is far from warm. It stays dry but is only heated by a woodburning stove while I’m out there. So my question is whether or not this will hurt my put up fur? Or will it just take longer to dry?

Will take longer but you dont want fur too warm as it can cause wrinkling and other issues.

Keep a fan running to circulate the air and you will be fine.

Ok, I don’t think it’ll get too warm, I was more concerned with the cold. Thank you for the help! I really appreciate it!

Humidity is what you need to be concerned about, not temp.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Being cold it will just take longer to dry. The key is to have good air circulation.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

I have been putting fur up the same as you. Only heat when I'm in there and sometimes it can get pretty warm. But like others have said keep a fan running the entire time and you will be fine.
