every time you buy one from a dealer and fill out that form they are tracked. The govt can track any legally bought firearm already. It isnt total registration but its pretty close.

Watch Red Dawn again. In the movie, just the fact that you had guns and no longer have them was enough for the Russians and Cubans to kill you as an example. I doubt liberal democrats will hesitate to make an example of you, for losing your guns in a boating accident, once they gain power.

i think the day is not far off when guns will need to be used or lost. that whole insta check debacle was put in place to create a gun owner registry

Let me guess, a bill introduced by a liberal Democrat?
When will people learn?
There are gun owners, hunters and trappers on this site who openly admit voting for Democrats. If they don't get it, what chance do we have? Elections have consequences. We are seeing that now in Virginia where this bill originated.
Eh...wot?

Red Dawn? Good grief. Patrick Swayze is a Hollywood weirdo. I get the OP's gist, but that is a poor example of the future. The U.S. Citizens are well armed, and will remain so for a long time. The NRA, and other organizations indeed need our support, but the odds of gun confiscation on a nation-wide scale is highly un-likely, any time soon.
Just doing what I want now.

Just search the words "US gun confiscation" and you will quickly see that every democrat presidential candidate has proposed some form of it and that most liberal news media outlets have put up plans on how gun confiscation can be done. The start of nationwide gun confiscation is no further away than the next democrat president and democrat controlled house.
Keith Democrat candidates will promise anything for a vote...

Keith Democrat candidates will promise anything for a vote... I agree that democrat candidates will promise almost anything for a vote. The problem is that there may very well be enough people who will vote for a democrat presidential candidate who promises to confiscate guns, that they will win. There is defininitely enough people in many cities and areas in the US, who have and who will vote for democrats who promise to confiscate guns, that they won or will win. Once the democrats have control, it is idiotic in the extreme, to think they will not confiscate guns as they want to. Without disarming the US population, the democrats can not further their socialist agenda. Keith

How's the deer hunting, Keith?
Jim Hunting has been okay. There has been very few shots in my area. I have not seen many deer. I suspect that most of the hunters in my area tagged out during early bow season. The deer I have seen were not panicked at all. I killed a large spike buck Monday at 5:10pm. I suspect it was more than 1 1/2 because it had a very long and massive body. It had very small testicles. I think it is the same spike I got a trail cam pictures of last year. I had never seen a spike while hunting before. I tore something, possibly my peroneal tendon, when I jumped over a small seasonal creek, when I was going to the buck. It made a very loud noise in my leg. I did not hunt Tuesday or Wednesday. I went for a couple of hours before dark tonight, but did not see any deer. I plan on hunting tomorrow around 3:00pm. Did you and your friend go hunting this week here in Ohio? Keith

You wouldn't be uttering these words had Hitlery become President. The SCOTUS would be packed with gun haters and all of these laws that are being presented would be passed. There would be no stopping it. Open your eyes. We were close, very close to losing the 2nd because the left doesn't see it as a right, they see it as a privilege only for the privileged. Look what these people have been saying on the stump. If you still don't get it, I don't know where to go from here. It is happening and has been happening little by little. It will take nothing but power for their final assault. .

Yeah James, you're right, Trump is the real threat to gun-owners in America. It's not the hordes if liberal, anti-gun Democrats who have either already introduced anti-2A legislation or promised to. You know, the ones "with a pulse"...

Liberals are complete idiots. Once upon a time I overlooked some of them, but they've proven to me since that they don't deserve it anymore. Example.....San Francisco past a law banning vaping. BUT, they hand out needles and provide places to shoot up drugs. I would hope immigrants we allow in have more brains than some people already here.

Maybe the problem that people have with Trump is that he's NOT A politician, he doesn't say warm and fuzzy things, or pander to voters emotions. This understandably upsets some people that want a President to blow in their ear, and whisper sweet nothings that are just that. This also makes him popular with people that want straight talk.

Jim Jim, I have to admit I chortled when I heard your foot problem is the opposite of mine, just like many of our political views are opposites. If it comes to surgery, I will take your good advise to be careful and try to find a surgeon with the experience to do it right. I hope both of us get better. Keirh

if you want to keep your guns dont keep it a secret that you will use them if government tries to take them. refuse to comply with any registration or licensing. i will support organizations that are against nra sponsored gun control legislation. nra is more crooked than labor unions who take your money and send it to pro gun control candidates.
