Used one for a minute. Realized it wasn’t one I was willing to beat around walking the line. Went back to a beater revolver. My DNR pal uses a Mark II I believe. He loves it. I prefer to be able to swap the round based on the situation. Maybe I’m crazy but I don’t use the same round for all dispatch scenarios. Proximity to houses changes things. With the revolver I don’t have to remove the mat and such. Just index the cylinder and it’s ready.

I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."

I have a mark 4 22/45 lite. I love it. I need a suppressor for it.

I recommend it for sure. I love how the mark 4's take down. You can clean it in about 5 minutes and be right back to it. Mine isnt an absolute tack driver but it groups well enough to head shoot a rabbit out to 25 yards and body shot to 50 probably. Mine has cycled all the different ammo brands i have fed it so far. It also shoots the cheap ammo like thunderbolts pretty accurately. Im using federal auto-match in mine right now and they are working great. I previously used a heritage rough rider and its fine if you are standing within a couple feet of something but wasnt accurate past that at all. I been shooting possums with mine as soon as i step out the truck and then just toss it back in the seat and go grab my remake bucket.

I have the tactical version. I can say with a red dot its an absolute horrible dispatch gun at least for me. but I didnt buy it for that. Its my night gun and it does a fine job for that other than it needs a suppressor

I find that securing the Mark IV to the safe position, with the bolt open is cumbersome compared to the earlier models. I always feel like I need another hand to do it.

I have a mark II SS w/ suppressor ( 100% legit , ATF form 4 )
I use Remington Subsonic rounds. No issues. Point blank or close , works good. As loud as loud pellet gun. Can used very close to public (25ft) with no problems. Sounds like a large book slamming to floor.

Gotta be willing to drop it on the road while swinging leg over a guard rail.

I bought the tactical on purpose as it comes threaded. Just havent gotten around to putting the suppressor on it. I like the red dot for my old eyes at night. Was at point where couldnt clearly see the open sights on the single six anymore and all of the raccoon over 10 feet away in the trees, etc were safe. With the red dot its surprisingly accurate for that kinda work but at point blank range i find that gotta compensate a touch for the height of red dot relative to where bullet exits barrel. My single six still rides in the truck for dispatch while the mark 4 gets carried.
