I also would suggest you just write if off. I am not a life member of anything. Life is to short to get stuck for your hard earned money. Thanks for the warning! JMO

If any of your transactions took place through the US mail system and they defrauded you they may be in violation of Federal law. You may want to contact the US Post Office about filing a complaint. If these guys have any smarts whatsoever they probably have some fine print in their agreement that give them a way out of the contract.

I have just the opposite problem (if you want to call it that). Years ago I bought a life membership with the Minnesota Trappers Assn for $200, which it cost at that time. Since then the life membership has gone up considerably. I feel guilty because I keep getting the magazines and only paid $200. It doesn't seem fair to those who are buying a life membership at today's cost. I've been thinking about that lately since there's no interest to be earned any more on these things. Back in 1988 when I bought a lifetime membership in the Iowa Trappers Assn, I think it was $250 and the way it was set up was that the interest on your money paid for your magazine subscription and they actually made money on it. Your post triggered me to look at their website and see what the cost is now. They just raised the lifetime membership from $400 to $1000. I'm probably costing the ITA money, which of course was the opposite of my intent at the time. Guess I'll be thinking about how to correct that.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels guilty. The MTA is as fine an organization as you can find and I sometimes feel like I'm ripping them off because of the life membership I bought long ago.

I would get his address and drive to his house and find out what's going on. $200.00 is a lot of money.
It is what it is.

I believe I will compose a letter about What they did, and mail them off certified to all of their Sponsors. And proceed with Actors suggestion. Appreciate all the comments. Well, most of them

Sad to see this happen to anyone. I was watching his videos like 25yrs ago and loved him! Never met him or ordered anything from him so there you go... I'd raise a lil heck about it but count it at as loss. You got some items and recouped some of the money so that's good. Crazy never thought he'd be a crook, guess one eyed bowhunting ain't what it use to be?
